SKINS WOMEN'S COMPRESSION 7/8 TIGHTS 3-SERIES - WILD AMETHYST
The true workhorse in your SKINS compression arsenal. Designed for a spectrum of medium-high intensity activity, our signature SERIES-3 7/8Tights offer a medium compression profile with firm support for the calves, glutes, quads and hamstrings, whilst reducing muscle oscillation.
SKINS Long Tights are the must-have garment that every athlete should have in their wardrobe. They are the one piece of kit that completely takes care of your lower half. Our Long Tights wrap the muscles in the calves, quads and glutes; which reduces muscle vibrations. This is a good thing because when your muscles vibrate, you lose energy.
Above all, SKINS Long Tights assists with blood circulation, meaning more blood is oxygenated and delivered to your working muscles. This is important because it means you can work harder and more efficiently. As well as this, the increased blood circulation assists in the dissipation of waste products, such as lactic acid build-up and that’s the stuff that causes muscle soreness.
When you look at your body, you’ll notice the darker, blue veins near the surface of the skin. The darker veins are the ones bringing used blood back to the heart for oxygenation and renewal. When pressure is applied to these veins with SKINS Long Tights graduated compression, it accelerates the flow through pressure graduation.
Applying random pressure won’t help. You need to apply the right pressure, to the right area. Too much pressure in the wrong place can create circulation issues and impede performance. SKINS Long Tights work because they apply the maximum pressure furthest away from the heart, decreasing as it moves up the leg.
Skins Sizing Guide
Forget your usual size.
Use our size guides to determine what fit, for what product, is best for you.
Bordering two sizes?
Suppose when finding out your size from the guides below, you sit on the line between two sizes. If that’s the case, we recommend choosing the smaller size for tights, if you have an athletic body type, otherwise chose the larger size. We always recommend choosing the larger size for tops.
Received your SKINS and unsure how to wear them?
No, we’re not telling you how to dress, but due to our garments’ technical nature, getting them on for the first time may be a bit strange. You can check out our guide on how to put on and wear SKINS Compression Sportswear here.
What about activewear?
You can be a little more relaxed about our active wear. Not because it’s not important but because size isn’t as critical to the garment’s performance as it is for our Compression Sportswear. That being said, keep in mind that the range has an athletic cut for optimum comfort and minimal drag.
One doesn’t fit all. We take the
sizing and fit of our garments seriously. We want to make sure you feel
comfortable, and you get all the benefits of precise compression. We
know that for athletes to perform at their best, they need to be
comfortable. So we use body mass index (BMI) measurements to determine
every individual’s best-sized garment. Using BMI measurements ensures
both compression and comfort levels are optimised.
